Dwayne Anthony Feldt

Sgt. Maj. Dwayne Anthony Feldt, U. S. Army retired, age 49, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, March 8, 1999, in a local hospital.

Mr. Feldt was born on Dec. 20, 1949, at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. He retired from the Army in September 1994 at Fort Campbell, Ky., after 27 years of service. During his service he received many medals, including the Legion of Merit Award and the Purple Heart for his service during the Vietnam War. He retired to Fort Walton Beach.

Mr. Feldt was Catholic by faith. He loved to play golf on Eglin Air Force Base Golf Course.

Mr. Feldt was preceded in death by both his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Jean O. Feldt of Fort Walton Beach; parents, U. S. Air Force retired Col. Albert J. and Marie Feldt of Shreveport, La.; sister Catherine Bishop of Norman, Okla.; brother, Brian Feldt and wife Rhonda; sister, Tina Davis and husband Parker; sister, Cheryl Young and husband Jimmy, all of Shreveport; six nephews; and many extended family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday, March 12, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home Chapel with Father Kevin Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery, with full military honors.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, with a rosary service at 6 pm. Flowers will be accepted, but those who desire may make donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Dwayne A. Feldt. Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N. E., Fort Walton Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
